Appearance:

• 6 legs
• Oval shape
• Reddish brown, yellowish markings behind the head
• Up to 2 inches

Habitats:

• Basements
• Sewers
• Drainage systems

Food:

• Omnivores - eat plants, meats, and other items
• Cosmetics, plant shoots, soaps, decaying fruits
• Sweets and starchy items such as adhesives

Threat:

• Can spread bacteria, parasitic worms, and other human pathogens
• Can cause allergic reactions and intensify asthma attacks, especially in children

Preventing an Infestation:

• Keep your kitchen clean
• Vacuum frequently
• Avoid moisture buildup
